Hipix Art Initiative – bringing high quality art to everyone.
The hipix Art Initiative is the place to find unparalleled, ultimate quality, ultra resolution images of artistic content.

From ultimate painting collections by master artists, to top photography albums by world renowned photographers, from collections of famous drawings, to jewelry and craft collections. Find all these and more, free of charge, or at absolute minimal prices, in this unique showcase of art.

The magic of hipix allows us to present tablet and smartphone users with images ranging up to hundreds of megapixels, transferred to your device in highly compact files. The hipix Art Initiative is the only place where you may find such images on mobile devices, all embedded in the application without requiring user to be online while viewing.
In addition, hipix allows embedding sound, animation, links and much more within the pictures. This allows some of the albums to supply additional links, audio, video, animation and much more – all embedded within the pages.

The first collections being made available through this initiative include:
-Myths (Paintings) – a collection of 75 images of myths, stories and allegories painted by masters such as Titian, Rembrandt, Rubens, Brueghel, Tiepolo, Boucher, David and others. Each of these paintings, most of which are dated between the 16th and 19th centuries, tells a fascinating story, which viewers are invited to explore by navigating through the 12 to 66 megapixel images, be inspired by the story and the artists talent, as well as follow the technique at the brush stroke level and below. Images total over 1.5 Gigapixels, packed in only 130MB of data files.
-Lanscapes (Paintings) – a collection of 75 paintings of different landscapes. Painted by some of the most important masters of this domain such as Brueghel, Poussin, Canaletto, Corot, Turner, Courbet, Pissaro, Monet, Van Gogh. Viewers are invited to explore these incredible images, some nearing 200 Megapixels, with image total being above 1.5 Gigapixel, yet maintain a very low footprint on your device.
-Still Lifes (Paintings) – a collection of 20 of the most important Still Life masterpieces ever painted, including paintings by Paul Cezanne, Jan van Huysum, Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet and others, all dated to the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. This remarkable collection includes images up to 57 Megapixels in size.

Coming soon:
-Portraits series (Paintings). A collection of 50 landmark portrait masterpieces.
-Tokyo in hipix (Photography). A collection of 24 images of Tokyo, by the world renowned Japanese photographer Tomoyuki Ochida. This superb collection of Tokyo images, supplies viewer with breathtaking views of Tokyo with some images exceeding 300 Megapixels! The images are embedded with sounds, links and animation, doubling the exploration fun.
-Angelika Sher (Photography). An intriguing artist book for the world renowned photographer Angelika Sher ,  a multifaceted artist who can be oblique, playing with many ideas,
pushing them into different directions, examining light and darkness. This free album includes 65 photos, some up to 100 Megapixels in size.
